Since our last update we’ve made our way through the south of Vietnam and hopped on a plane to Siem Reap, Cambodia. I never cease to be amazed at how accessible our planet truly is – we managed to literally walk into Ho Chi Minh Airport and buy airline tickets for the next flight right on the spot. The freedom to do this is the reason we’ve been able to plan our trip on the go without a hard set itinerary.
After a short tour of the amazing temples of Angkor Wat, we’ve now taken another short flight over to Bangkok and we look forward to spending the rest of our time in Thailand. Bangkok is a city of 7 million and we were both relieved to find a fantastic neighborhood full of just the right conveniences travelers require. Our first day here was spent today exploring the never-ending weekend market at which you can buy anything from a couch to a pet squirrel.
We’ll continue to write updates when we have a chance.

I’m REALLY enjoying reading about your trip. Thinking of doing a similar thing for mine since I’m having so much fun “checking in” on your travels. The two of you have planned a trip that would be the envy of any die-hard traveler :-) Thanks for sharing it with us!
Thanks for checking in on us, Lisa! You’ll have to tell us all about your upcoming trip as well.
