Hi everyone, just wanted to write a quick update on our travels. We are currently making our way down Vietnam from the North down to the Southern tip before we go through Cambodia to Thailand.
It’s a been a fascinating week of exploring an entirely different world. The culture is so different that our first reaction when we arrived in Hanoi (Vietnam’s capital) was that we could have a great time just sitting in one spot and people watching for days. The way of life is just SO different here.
One of the most interesting experiences we’ve had so far was visiting the Hmong ethnic minority villages in Northern Vietnam. To paint a visual just imagine never-ending hillside rice patties, water buffalos, geese, dogs, pigs, and villagers dressed in traditional clothing all living together. It is truly breathtaking.
Naturally, we are taking more photos than we’ll know what to do with and we can’t wait to share them. We’ll continue to write updates to our blog when we’ll have a chance.
Happy New Year’s!!!!!! Hope you are all doing well.
