You know what’s the worst thing you could possibly tell to a bride just a couple of months before her wedding? “Your big day will be here before you know it!” I won’t speak for everybody (although I have a suspicion that I’d be right) but 70 days before my wedding I feel absolute paralyzing horror. OMG, it’ll be here before I know it and nothing is ready yet!
Somehow during this winter and springtime we lost sense of time, it seemed that the wedding is sooo far away and we were enjoying looking at the different ideas, contemplating what would be nice to have for the wedding. The thing is that we absolutely forgot that the date is set and it’s time to actually start planning the wedding.
Now that we are finally in the active planning stage (well, according to a bridal planner, guide we’re running approximately half a year behind :) here are some updates:
We finally settled on the catering company and chose a whole bunch of super yummy stuff for the wedding!
And here’s the inspiration for the wedding theme:
(Yes, I’m a chocoholic and no, the wedding theme is not about chocolate :)
We are super excited about both the “Save the Dates” and our Invitations. They just got sent out a couple of days ago and I cannot wait to be able to share them on the blog :)
We are still looking for: an amazing DJ, alterations, and Wine Country based florists and make-up artists. All recommendations are welcome!
Have a great 4th of July weekend, everybody!
Natasha

What are the chance that your choice of school will bring you not only an exciting career but also a future husband? I think both Bridgit and Roger won the lottery when they met on the first day of their dental school. Almost five years later the two doctors were married in the beautiful and bright Saint Gregory’s Church in San Mateo with a reception following at the Peninsula Golf and Country Club.
It was our first time shooting at this venue and we were stunned that such beautiful golf club exists literally within walking distance from where we live. Bridgit and Roger beautifully incorporated the “old world charm” fot their Peninsula Golf and Country Club Wedding – this venue was built in the early 1900’s. During the cocktail hour a jazz band was playing in the candle-lit foyer. A beautiful grand piano and fireplace added to the warm and romantic vintage feel of this place. Both Bridgit and Roger love music and instead of a learning a choreographed dance they decided to surprise their guests with a song performance. They started out with Bridgit singing and Roger accompanying her on the guitar, and after the first few verses they got up and started dancing to it while the DJ played the rest of it.
Here are some of our favorites:

Boy, do we have a stunning wedding to share with you today. Several times each year we are hired by couples who are drawn to us by our style, but because of the distance we don’t have a chance to meet prior to the wedding day. When this happens, it’s interesting how quickly we connect and get to know each other on the day… after all, trust plays a huge role when it comes to allowing someone into your personal space with a camera.
Melissa and Len had a gorgeous outdoor wedding at the Salvestrin Winery in Napa. There were so many memorable details from the day that it was pretty difficult to narrow down the photos for this blog post. What we loved most about this Salvestrin Winery wedding was the laid back feel but also the amazing emotions that the couple and guests visibly experienced.
We hope you enjoy this series!
For the wedding reception, Melissa and Len had a Lobster bake!
The food was laid out on the tables and it really made the reception feel like a great family dinner:
The vineyards on the property were just glowing at sunset:
Congratulations to the happy couple! We loved being a part of your day.
