We love to photograph friends of our couples! It’s always fun to see people switch roles – last years’s bride becomes the bridesmaid and a bridesmaid becomes queen of the day! It’s always humbling when you see that people love your work so much that they recomend you to their closest friends. We first met Barbara a few years ago when she was a bridesmaid at Gina and Jason’s Cinnabar Hills wedding and we were absolutely thrilled when she contacted us to say that she just got engaged!
Barbara and Carlos went all out for their engagement session and no detail was spared – from her gloves to his hat – they were the epithomy of the past:
Those suitcases were to die for!
The guys were awesome to photograph and sooo in their characters:
I know Barbara is busy planning an absolutely stunning, very special wedding, and I just cannot wait till August to see everything she’ll come up with!!!
PS: We were happy to see Barbara and Carlos’ beautiful themed Engagement Session featured on Engagement 101 blog in October 2011. Click here to read the super cute and romantic story of their engagement!

Great photography is always a collaboration between a photographer and his subject. That’s why it makes us super happy when we see our couples coming up with original ideas, bringing props, and jumping up and down at the thought of their sessions. We have a couple of gorgeous engagement sessions to share with you so relax enjoy!
The first of these sessions was for Laura and David and it was planned a looong time in advance. (They even arranged to have a friend bring his awesome old car to the shoot!) And we were happy to drive to Santa Cruz to capture all of the vintage goodness:
Loooved all the details on the car – a Woodie :)
Not sure if Laura’s enjoying the ride or is scared to death here. I guess it doesn’t matter so long as it looks good :)
My favorite:
Laura and David’s Radonich Ranch wedding had even more style and is a must see if you haven’t yet! We’ll follow up with the second amazing session when it’ll be ready within the next few weeks.
