“It’s going to be a hot one” I thought as we reached the beautiful grounds for Pamela and Raphael’s wedding in Los Altos. As I saw the backyard where this day was to take place the next thought was “WOW, is this going to be an amazing place for a wedding!” Pamela grew up in this house and she couldn’t have picked a better place for her and Raphael’s celebration.
With temps reaching over 90 degrees, our goal for the day was quite honestly not to cook :) The best photographs usually happen in the shade and Pamela and Raphael also enjoyed that we kept them as cool as possible during their photos.
I absolutely loved that this couple really wanted for their photos to be natural and photo-journalistic. As much as we LOVE to have fun with creative portraits, the heart of a wedding for us are the emotions and intimacy shared by the guests. This day was intimate indeed with two families coming together and really supporting Pamela and Raphael.

Pamela and Raphael’s First Look resulted in some beautiful portraits.

Raphael’s suit and Pamela’s unique wedding dress matched so well together.

We LOVE relaxed and natural portraits. You made it too easy for us! :)

Pamela’s beautiful bouquet was hidden in the fridge until GO time.

Pamela’s family house made for the perfect setting for guests to enjoy themselves.

As the sun was setting and the heat diminished, they got Married!

Sunset portraits are fun! It was a blast to shoot these photos.

I guess Raphael is ticklish afterall ;)

The Macaron cake was made a special chef who recently came from France.

We so glad Pamela and Raphael picked us as their Los Altos wedding photographers.

Opening the champagne with a sword is a French tradition called Sabrage.

More Champagne fun!

And yes, there was plenty of dancing and entertainment for all ;)
Our warmest congratulations to Pamela and Raphael! You are a lovely couple and it was such an honor to witness your wedding day.

P.S. A BIG thank you to Curtis Myers for being my second photographer on this day! I couldn’t have picked a better partner and his work speaks for itself.
