Better late than never right? I’ve been really bad at blogging these last few months and with the 2012 season over now I still want to show you some of our favorite weddings from the past year.
We fell in love with Tina, Johnnie, and their wedding the minute their inquiry came through and they told us the concept for the wedding is elegant, timeless, classic glamour and swanky. They were looking for pictures that would reflect all of this while capturing their energy, humor and fun. And the venue? What could be better for a classic glamour San Francisco wedding than the lavish and classy Julia Morgan Ballroom?!
As photographers we always look for emotions and First Looks are ones of our favorite moments of the day. These guys didn’t disappoint; Johnnie’s reaction to first seeing his bride was absolutely priceless!
Tina is a super talented designer and an ad/PR agency owner. It’s hard to believe it, but everything at the wedding – from the invitations to the Julia Morgan room decoration was done by her. Yep, doesn’t look like your typical DIY wedding, does it? I LOVED all the details and spent a lot of time jumping around the room trying to get the overall mood as well as every tiny detail.
One of the reasons we love Julia Morgan weddings so much is the ballroom ceiling – a beautiful honeycomb of wooden octagons. The lavish crafted ceiling adds so much to the overall look of the room and makes us want to include it in every shot! :)
BTW, if you’re looking for some useful wedding design tips, you can find them on Tina’s blog. From choosing your wedding theme, to reception centerpiece tips and how-to’s on elegant hand-stitched table numbers, embossed wedding programs, and birdcage card holders – Tina talks about every aspect of her wedding.
It was a pleasure to be able to capture your stylish wedding, guys! Congratulations once again.
