A sweet couple, a beautiful venue, and lots of bright colors – needless to say we were stoked for this wedding ever since meeting Aditi and Alex more than a year ago. This wedding always seemed to be so far away, but as it always happens with wedding planning, time just flies and the end of June was here before we knew it.
Not many people know about this venue as it’s well hidden in a residential area of Fremont, but we’ve covered events here before and absolutely adored it. I always thought that the Palmdale Estates, with all of its gorgeous palm lined lawns, gardens, and lake, would be a perfect location for a traditional Indian wedding – a series of colorful events, spread over two or three days. It turned out to be true and all the lush green colors surrounding the Palmdale Estates went perfectly with the wedding reds.
Dear Aditi and Alex – it was an honor to join you on the day you became a husband and wife. Thank you for allowing us to document your beautiful day!
The wedding preparations of an Indian bride are a photographer’s dream come true – there’re so many amazing colorful details that I usually go absolutely crazy :)
You see? We couldn’t stop shooting our gorgeous bride and all the details of her lovely sari:
One of the important and fun ceremonies is the Baraat – the arrival of the groom at the venue. The groom’s family members, relatives, and friends accompany him to the venue, and the entire procession dances all the way to the bride!
We loved the looks exchanged between Adidi and Alex. Their ceremony lasted for more than an hour and while Aditi and Alex were really trying to concentrate on the proceedings, they were sneaking these loving looks at each other time to time:

Bridesmaids’ hands were covered in beautiful Mehndi designs:
And then there was time for portraits! Our goal with these is not to catch the artificial beauty, but to capture raw feelings and the couple’s love to each other. Unfortunately, memories fade away and even the happiest moments become blurry with time, so we want our couples to open their album ten, thirty years from now, look at the pictures and say “Oh I remember exactly how I felt in that moment”. These two didn’t need to be posed – we barely asked them to have a sit on the bench and started clicking the shutter:
Aditi looked absolutely breathtaking:

As mentioned, Palmdale Estates is perfect for traditional Indian weddings with a relaxed “garden party” time atmosphere:
