Mike and I both love Santa Cruz very much, so when Hui Hui & Wing told us they wanted to go there for their E-Session we got pretty excited! We got even more excited when they asked if they can bring along their adorable puppy Isabelle. Why, yes, of course you can :)
When we first met Isabelle was just a tiny puppy with waaay too much energy; she was just running around in circles! Since then she seems to have grown and got a bit more serious :) She actually turned one on the day of the E Session. Happy Birthday Isabelle!
Isabelle also likes kissing…
We had so much fun on the beach running, jumping, hugging, digging (for some of us) and even taking a few pictures :) Hui and Wing are getting married in July and we can’t wait till their big day!
Thanks for all the fun, you guys!

This weekend we decided to do something a little different: we still went to a wedding, but this time it was as guests!! :) Roger, a friend I’ve known since middle school, was married to his sweetheart Judy at a gorgeous Calistoga winery. Can you guess who was the best man?
To be honest, this was the first time I’ve ever been part of a bridal party. I do have to say it’s a lot of fun though! The Hans Fahden vineyards are simply breathtaking with ponds, flowers, and an actual volcanic cave for the reception. It was great to be able to relax through most of the day, although knowing that I need to make a speech was keeping me from enjoying the wine too much :) All went well and Natasha and I had a great time.
Here are a few snaps from our point & shoot:
The photographers at this wedding were friends of ours and it was fun to watch them work. James and Lisa did a fantastic job with the bridal party shots and we were all enjoying ourselves. It was great to see their approach to wedding photography, as no two artists are the same.
We will actually be photographing a wedding at Hans Fahden in July of this year as well and we’re more than thrilled.
Congratulations to Roger and Judy!! We enjoyed celebrating this important day with you.

We recently had the honor of witnessing a very special engagement ceremony. This event took place at the groom’s house near Sacramento and Natasha and I were both humbled to be invited to capture it.
This Sikh ceremony is called the Shagun or Kurmai and there was prayer, gift giving, and, of course, exchanging of the rings. Congratulations to Deepa and Ash! We can’t wait to capture your upcoming wedding day.
The mango lassi was soo good:

We spent a wonderful weekend with friends in beautiful wine country going from winery to winery, drinking wine and enjoying the summer weather! We are so lucky to live in such a gorgeous place :)
We found this beautiful “Jacuzzi Winery”, we’d absolutely love to shoot a wedding there! (hint, hint :)
A few more shots from the weekend:
Hope you had a great weekend, too!
