This post will be re-published after March 15th! :)
One of the reasons we love photography is because it gives us a chance to connect with people and capture important and long-lasting memories. We consider it the greatest compliment when we are recommended to other people or our clients come back to take their maternity, baby, or portrait photos. It’s an honor to play this important part in people’s lives and we value our job highly. This portrait session was just such an opportunity. Will and Kitty’s wedding took place a little over a year ago right here in Santa Clara and we’ve kept in touch. Will had a need for some portraits in support of his company Chandler Building & Development and I was glad to help. We had a great time at a materials showroom facility a few weeks back and here’s a small preview: Mike Last week we had the pleasure of learning that our submission to Photographik.org was accepted! This organization is known as the ‘elite photographers network’ and lists only the most talented and accomplished wedding and portrait photographers. They have strict criteria and guidelines for acceptance and we were humbled to be included among some of the best photographers in this country and abroad. This website is relatively new and it’s a great resource for couples looking for passionate and dedicated photographers. Check it out at this link: Natasha and I are thrilled to be a part of this amazing network! Mike I know you’ve probably already seen her in our pictures here and there, but right now I want to properly introduce a member of the family - our cat Tosha. Tosha is an experimental cat, meaning that every time we need to experiment with the new equipment we get, Tosha becomes our subject. It doesn’t happen that often nowadays, but I guess a long time ago when Mike was just getting into photography (and I wasn’t around yet) Tosha underwent quite a lot. The result of it is that she just cannot stand being photographed! In preparation for every photo shoot we take out all the cameras to check them, change lenses, put the new batteries in. Tosha can sit and watch us, but the second we point a camera towards her she turns away making it impossible to photograph her. How does she even know that I’m trying to focus on her? It’s still a mystery to me. That’s why I’m so proud of this shot: it was the first sunny day after the rains and Tosha came up to the balcony to bask in the sun. I think she was just too lazy to turn away from me :) As a side note, we had beautiful and fun maternity photo shoot yesterday in San Francisco and we’ll be posting pictures from it in just a couple of days!
