Author ArchiveTo our recently photographed couples who’ve been patiently waiting for their image CDs - they are here now! We’ll be mailing them out tomorrow so look out for them before the end of this week :) Mike Recently we had the pleasure of witnessing a very special Sikh ceremony between our friends Ash and Deepa. The 3-day event took place near Sacramento and it was an honor for us to capture the first couple of days; the last day of the event was captured by Johnstone Studios out of Reno, Nevada. We had another wedding to capture on this day which will be posted on our blog very soon now. The traditions, colors, and emotions that we captured during these two days left us fascinated. This was a beautiful union of two people in love, and along with the help of their family and friends, Ash and Deepa’s wish came true. There were over 600 people invited to this event who joined to celebrate and wish them well on their journey. Congratulations to you, Ash and Deepa!! We wish you all the best :) To view their Engagement Ceremony, please click here, and to see their engagement session please visit here. Mike Here are a few pictures from our move last week… We’re happily settling into our new place and can’t wait for the couch delivery tomorrow. San Mateo seems to literally be in the center of everything: the amount of stores and convenient freeway intersections is still surprising us. We’re getting ready to post photos from two amazing weddings that we recently shot. Hope everyone has a great weekend! We couldn’t believe it, but we managed to fill up the truck. It’s true that you don’t know how much stuff you have until you try to move: Tired, but happy, at the end of the day: Mike We recently had the honor of witnessing a very special engagement ceremony. This event took place at the groom’s house near Sacramento and Natasha and I were both humbled to be invited to capture it. This Sikh ceremony is called the Shagun or Kurmai and there was prayer, gift giving, and, of course, exchanging of the rings. Congratulations to Deepa and Ash! We can’t wait to capture your upcoming wedding day. The mango lassi was soo good: You can view Deepa and Ash’s engagement portraits here. Mike |
