We’ve prepared Jen and Ignacio’s blog post while still here on the beautiful island of Oahu in Hawaii. This Saturday’s destination wedding was gorgeous and we can’t wait to see what we’ve captured. We’ll be coming back to the Bay Area shortly, but not before we spend a few days just enjoying the tropical paradise :)
Jen and Ignacio’s amazing Chateau Julien wedding took place in Carmel Valley on Saturday of Labor Day weekend. While we always love winery weddings this particular venue was just beyond words: the ceremony took place in a barrel-filled wine cellar and the wedding continued with a reception at the stylish courtyard.
Ignacio first saw the bride when she appeared in the doorway of the Chateau and everyone could just feel their love and emotions.
A toast by the father of the bride:
It was awesome to see that the engagement session guestbook we made for Jen and Ignacio was a big hit:
We absolutely loved the courtyard:
Group hug at the end of the wedding:
Congratulations to this wonderful couple! We loved sharing in your beautiful day.

We are back from an amazing time of camping last week in Nevada and we’ll be posting photos from the trip shortly. This upcoming weekend we’ll be shooting Ksusha and Vova’s destination wedding on Oahu in Hawaii and we’re getting ready for flying there right now.
This labor day weekend we had two spectacular weddings to shoot: Jen and Ignacio’s Saturday wedding was at Carmel Valley’s Chateau Julien while Stephanie and Jamie got married on Sunday at the Bently Reserve in San Francisco.
Here’s a sneak peak to Jen and Ignacio’s upcoming blog post! More wedding photos to come soon…

Philana and Michael’s beautiful wedding took place at The Westin on Market in San Francisco. It might sound counter-intuitive but we were excited to see that it was a bit overcast in the city on this day. It’s interesting that the best light outdoors can be found when the sky has at least a few clouds and preferably no direct sunlight. This was especially great because we had a good amount of time allocated for Philana and Michael’s portraits.
The first spot we explored was the De Young museum in Golden Gate Park. While there were definitely many people in the area, thanks to the awesome light we were really able to get some great portraits of the entire bridal party. This location is just perfect on a cloudy day.
Our second spot was a lively pier near The Embarcadero and Broadway. Despite the full sun we were also able to capture some fun and spontaneous moments. Philana and Michael’s ceremony and reception took place at The Westin on Market and we enjoyed shooting the rest of their glamorous wedding day. Big congratulations to this lovely couple!!
It was so awesome to see Natalya and Robert, our bride and groom from last year, as wedding guests:
