Now that we’re finished with our last 2007 wedding we are greatly looking forward to the holidays as well as to relaxing a bit, having fun, and seeing our friends who havent seen us in ages since we’re always busy on the weekends.
But we wouldn’t want our blog readers to think that these winter months will be spent just in leisure: well be finishing the designs and printing of your albums, shooting lots of engagement sessions, and networking with our favorite vendors. We also have fresh new ideas and projects which we’ve been keeping in our heads throughout the busy summer that we couldn’t yet share with you guys.
Now that we have more time we are eager to start working on all of this so stay tuned for exciting announcements soon!

After a lot of talking and describing what this book looks like to our clients we now have a studio sample Sign-In Photo Guestbook! This album is custom designed with pictures from the Engagement Session. The idea is to leave a lot of empty space on the pages so that guests can write down their wishes to the bride and groom on the day of the wedding.
The standard size book is 7×10 inches and has 28 pages. Of course, as with all our albums, both the size and number of pages can be customized. This album also features a frosted hard case that protects the book and allows for easy portability. We find that this book is such a big hit at receptions that there’s usually a line of people waiting to see and sign it.
Because the production of this book is done in Japan, it takes us about a month to have it printed and bound after the design is complete. If you’re thinking of having a Sign-in Guestbook, order early so that we have enough time to print it in time for your big day.
Here is the sample and a slideshow of the layouts:

Things slow down for us a bit towards the holidays and we start working intensely on the design of wedding albums for our clients. Im very excited because the first of the ready albums has come in! I love being at home and getting the delivery from the album company. I feel like a small kid on Christmas morning every time I open a box with albums. After weeks of selecting the pictures, designing the album, and discussing it, its such a pleasure to finally hold the final product of our work in my hands and go slowly through the pages.
The feel of the real pages is so different to me than the flat look of the design on the monitor! Although both Mike and I looove our digital SLR cameras, we both think that the final product is the printed one. Its great to have all your digital pictures on the computer, but a nice portrait on the wall or a beautiful album on your coffee table is so much more enjoyable.
Anyway, were working hard on the rest of the albums so if you havent seen your draft yet, please be patient and well get in touch with you soon :)
Heres a beautiful 10×10 Vision Art book that came in just a few days ago. You can see the album layout slideshow here.
