We are now on the Island of Koh Phi Phi (Ko pi pi) and everything is going well. After a few days spent on islands which weren’t too interesting we are glad to finally be in a nice place. It is basically a tropical paradise with warm waters, fish, little restaurants and great weather.
Today was our first real day of enjoying this place and we spent the afternoon tanning on the beach, swimming a little, and going around the bay in a little kayak boat. It might be hard to believe, but we haven’t been able to get good rest during many of the days of the trip and it’s nice to finally have this chance.
We will probably stay on this island until the end of the trip which is coming up shortly now.
I hope all of you are doing well!
Mike

Since our last update we’ve made our way through the south of Vietnam and hopped on a plane to Siem Reap, Cambodia. I never cease to be amazed at how accessible our planet truly is – we managed to literally walk into Ho Chi Minh Airport and buy airline tickets for the next flight right on the spot. The freedom to do this is the reason we’ve been able to plan our trip on the go without a hard set itinerary.
After a short tour of the amazing temples of Angkor Wat, we’ve now taken another short flight over to Bangkok and we look forward to spending the rest of our time in Thailand. Bangkok is a city of 7 million and we were both relieved to find a fantastic neighborhood full of just the right conveniences travelers require. Our first day here was spent today exploring the never-ending weekend market at which you can buy anything from a couch to a pet squirrel.
We’ll continue to write updates when we have a chance.

Napa and the Wine country are some of our favorite parts of the Bay Area. We love to just drive around looking at the never ending rows of vines, love the hot weather, and of course we love wine tasting!
It seems that this was the first year when we had a chance to go to Napa in the Fall. The beautifully colored vineyards looked just gorgeous and there were still some grapes on the vines. We stopped at random places along the way and couldn’t resist taking pictures of what we saw:
Trees make great tripods, btw :)
